In free adolescence, without submission to trivialized perversion, nature keeps the ideals separate from the attractions of love, remaining independent of each other, the psychic sphere and the physical impulse. Platonic spring love arises, idealized, where the clean, flowery and itinerant fantasy through hallucinatory green-meadow landscapes, seeks the contemplative fusion of souls without giving the option, even, to the feeling of red passion: Only joy and pride, without limits, overflow from the heart when the innocent and sublime dalliance of “holding the hand” generates a lasting and mutual goodwill.
Purity!
Love frustrations at these ages, which also exist, deserve special treatment because they can trigger emotional reactions of different significance, often clinical. They will be the subject of a special analysis in a future publication
