My interest in writing is waning, as I think my message might be anachronistic, or perhaps out of place. I don’t know, I think the world needs something, because it’s not exactly overflowing with happiness. It seems that politics is interested in blocking any glimmer of optimism, given the resounding failure of the systems implemented. And why couldn’t poetry be the panacea for a smile? Great statesmen and women have distinguished themselves as wonderful poets. It would be hopeful if news programs included a poem at the end, even a sad one, so as not to be out of place, and recited with the haste of a news anchor at the moment of closing.
